                             CHOCOLATE – AN OBSESSION

Being obsessed for anything leads to an obsession. There are so many obsessions among which food obsession is the most highlighted one. Similarly, it is also said to be a behavioral addiction and is very controversial according to the people of science.
Food obsession can vary according to the taste of the people. For instance, there is food obsession mostly for rice, bread, pasta, potatoes and last but not the least ‘chocolate’. Yes, chocolate is that obsession which gives the most comforting and refreshing feel with utter pleasure.

Generally, there are various types of chocolates found in the world among which dark chocolate, white chocolate and milk chocolate are preferred by most of the chocolate lovers. Basically, chocolate comes from the seed of a tropical cocoa tree which is grown in South America.

Intellectuals of science says that chocolates can be used to treat various infections and fevers, as it contains a chemical substance ‘caffeine’ which gives an alerting refreshment.  Also, there are antioxidants which help in fighting against the heart disease. Likewise, there is another research which gives an evidence that a tooth decay can be prevented by having chocolate without sugar, as there is a bacteria-fighting found in the cocoa bean which prevents the bacterial infections. Furthermore, scientific researches have proved that women are more likely into chocolate obsession as compared to men. Chocoholics says that it is difficult to live a day without having a chocolate.

Malin Akerman says “I can’t walk by chocolate without it.”

Chocolate is the most served delight around the world on all the events and special days throughout the year. And it is one of those food on which there have been made films in the world and those films did remarkable business in every part of the world. Most hit ones were “Charlie and the chocolate Factory” and “Chocolat”, both these movies were adaption of the books which were published earlier and were very famous among chocoholics.
Thus, chocolate is an obsession which people are loved to be obsessed with, as they think that chocolate make them feel alive and refresh.
“Chocolate is the first luxury. It has so many things wrapped up in it: Deliciusness in the moment, childhood memories, and that grin-inducing feeling of getting a reward for being good.” – Mariska Hargitay.
