" AS A MUSLIM ARE WE REALLY FOLLOWING THE SUNNAH"

The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was sent by Allah (swt) as a mercy to the worlds, so that we may be guided to Allah (swt) and achieve eternal happiness, just by following his example. The best part is, the life and practices of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) are by their very nature extremely easy to implement! But in this modern globalized world are we really following the “sunnah” especially when we accepted the norms and values from western countries. My purpose is not to criticize anyone but to realize our own identity. After reading following facts we should analyze ourselves that where do we stand. Following are the most common things which we practice in our lives

. • HELLO_ does our prophet teach us to say hello to anyone?
 • WOW_ don’t we have to say MashaAllah after watching something adorable?
 • EATING ON DINNING TABLE WITH FOLK AND SPOON_ didn’t our prophet teach us to sit on floor and eat with hands?
 • BISMILLAH_ do you recite Bismillah before doing anything?
 • TOOTHBRUSH_ most of us do toothbrush before going to bed but our prophet teach us to do miswak.
 • FIGHT_ does our prophet teach us to fight but yes our modern world taught “koi ek mare usay 2 maroo”. • GHUSAL_ most of us don’t even know the compulsory acts of ghusal.
• CLOTHES _doesn’t our prophet teach women to cover themselves? But here again we all want to look modern and stylish and for this we wear vulgar clothes

. Above are the some common acts of our daily lives. So are we ummah of prophet (sallahu alihi wassalam)? and if yes so why are we not following the lifestyle of our prophet. Why I am I am emphasizing that in this “Modern world”, because it is a fact
• We think to say hello or hi is a cool thing
• Wearing vulgar clothes is a style for us
• Fighting violently is a defense for us
• Eating on table is a manner for us
• Ignoring others is attitude for us
• Doing toothbrush is a habit or trend for us

I am not saying that these are wrong things to do. But turning these common and daily acts into Sunnah is an act of Muslim. We should not let ourselves deviate from the true understanding of Islam. If we begin to follow the Sunnah, this will automatically lead us to the pleasure of Allah (swt) and all the duties and responsibilities of deenand duniya. Allah (swt) will not forgive any believer who failed to give his most beloved Messenger the greatest of love and devotion. May Allah (swt) guard us from any error entering into our life, heart and mind. “Say (O Muhammad [salahu alihi wassalam]): ‘Obey Allah and the Messenger (Muhammad (sallahu alihi wassalam)).’ But if they turn away, then Allah does not like the disbelievers.” (Al-Imran 3:32)

Very nice blog, indeed the smaller things of life are actually having the largest impact on us. Its by taking these measures that we can align our life with sunnah. Great thinking. Keep it up Hunaina Israr.
