EVENT IN MY DEPARTMENT

There was an event in my department on 16^th September but it was combined event on the behalf of 14^th august and 6^th September, it was given and performed by 1^st year and last year batch. Preparation of that event was on the top of the list it seems that its must be good and enjoyable. My expectations about that event are more energetic and with lots of fun.

On that day whole department was decorated with the small size Pakistan flags and students were in the flag dress code it was awesome in starting. We had our 1^st class in our department then I decided to go out for some refreshment my friends get agreed with me then we all went to the canteen. After that hardly in 30 mints we came back to our department where the event was started.

When we feel liked to enter in our department the great news heard from other students who were standing outside and trying to go inside “we have to purchase a 100 rupees ticket from the counter” its strange news we heard from them that we should purchase ticket for OUR department to enter inside how disgusting that why we should purchase a ticket for OUR department.

Well after some time we make our mind up to purchase because we don’t have any other option to do and we don’t want to miss that event too. Then we purchase tickets and get inside, atmosphere of the event is good enough according to my expectations all teachers were also present their including the chairperson of our department.

Event was already started we all friends sit down and watching the remaining event speeches were going on one by one after some couple of time we were getting bored because no theater no songs no fun just the speeches were going on. We choose to wait and watched next segment but what is the next segment? It’s also of speeches regarding 6^th September, we tired of continuously sitting down and thinking of wasted money on that boring event but at that moment there is an announcement of theater going to present.

So we had look on that no doubt it’s a wonderful scene presented by our students, it’s on our new generation and respect of Pakistan which we can’t do….it’s on the meaning of celebration on independence day that why we get off on this day not for do other work or not for sleeping whole day or going out with friends for enjoyment.

In whole event I really get bored but I like that segment in which the theater was played no doubt its funny scene but a great message hide in that about Pakistani people and the importance of the Independence Day celebration, most important thing was that it’s also on our new generation making or wasting independence day celebration on their other activities. On the continuous speeches we think that we have wasted our money but after that theater our mind was changed.
